Freezer Slaw
1 medium head cabbage, grated
1 green pepper, grated
1 large carrot, grated
1/4 cup water
1 cup vinegar
2 cups sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. mustard seed
1/8 tsp. celery seed
Mix salt with grated cabbage and let stand one hour. Drain well. Add grated green pepper and carrot. Set aside.
Boil together water, vinegar, sugar and seeds. Cool
and combine with cabbage mixture. Cool completely
before freezing. Thaw 20 minutes before serving.
You’re ready for guests or a quick meal.
