Enjoy the outdoors with Gary Finch

If you enjoy hunting, fishing or other outdoor activities in and around the Gulf Coast area, you’re sure to become a fan of Gary Finch Outdoors, now airing on WTVY Channel 4 in Dothan, Ala., each Sunday at 6 a.m. West Florida Electric Cooperative is sponsoring the local airing of the syndicated program, also seen weekly on WALA Fox 10 in Mobile, Ala., and regional cable stations. Finch’s columns also will be regular features in upcoming Current Light Flashes.

Finch has been in the television industry 13 years and has written hundreds of articles on the outdoors for various publications. A resident of Fairhope, Ala., he is a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of American and the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association. The University of Georgia graduate also has served as a pilot in the U. S. Army.

Finch’s background as an Eagle Scout instilled, at an early age, the importance of long-term planning to ensure continued preservation of our natural resources, he said. He shares with numerous community charities, schools and businesses his message promoting the combination of conservation and sportsmanship as tools to address the environmental topics that are of great importance to him.
