Sour Cream Pound Cake
3 cups sugar
3 cups plain flour
6 eggs, yolks separated from whites
½ pound butter flavor Crisco
½ pint sour cream
¼ tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla or coconut extract
Beat egg whites and set aside. Mix Crisco with sugar, then add egg yolks one at a time. Add flour and sour cream, alternately. Put soda in last cup of flour and mix in. Add extract. Fold in egg whites. Bake in greased and well-floured tube or bundt pan at 325º for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until done.
