Busy Day Dinner
1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
1 box (7 oz.) elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
1 cup finely chooped celery
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup finely chopped onion
2 cups thinly sliced carrots
1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes with liquid, chopped
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. chili powder
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer gently, covered, for 30 minutes. Add water if a thinner stew is desired. Makes six servings.
