Top Guns: WFEC Honors its Best and Brighest

For West Florida Electric Cooperative employees, building powerlines, trimming trees, setting up Internet accounts, processing bill payments or dispatching crews are all part of a day's work to serve you, the Co-op member. But recently, WFEC's employees presented awards to co-workers they felt deserved special recognition for reaching "above and beyond" the call of duty.

For their exemplary job performance and positive attitudes, Beverly Anderson and Roger Evans were selected by their peers to share the title "Employee of the Year." "Every time I read the plaque, I feel so humbled," said Anderson, an executive secretary in WFEC's Graceville office. "It kind of surprised me, since I knew several others were nominated," added Evans, a mechanic in the Sneads district.

WFEC's employees also named recipients for Outstanding Service Awards in each of the Co-op's three districts. Those honorees were Junior Willis in the Graceville district; Donnie Worley, Bonifay district; and Harold Dunham, Sneads district. Also recognized for demonstrating an admirable work ethic and character on the job were Donna Pittman and James Ussery.

The following received awards commemorating milestones in their WFEC careers:

25 years of service - Sandra Bowers, Member Services Representative; Doyle Short, Manager of Operations and Construction; Toni Smith, Computer Services Representative; Linda Spencer, Manager of Member Services

20 years - James Quattlebaum, Line Crew Leader; Jerry West, Ground Worker; Donnie Worley, Supervisor of Operations and Construction

15 years - Rick Carnley, Line Crew Leader; Dennis Culbreth, Journeyman Line Worker; Pam Treadwell, Information Services Coordiantor

Ten years - Robin Baggett, Supervisor of Member Services; Gary Clark, Vice President of Member Services; Donald Roulhac, Right-of-Way Crew Leader

Five years - Roger Evans, Mechanic; Chad Mitchell, Meter Reader
