WFEC employees honor peers' performance

Whether working in operations and construction, finance and administration or member services, each West Florida Electric Cooperative employee is dedicated to serving you, the member-owner. Recently, WFEC’s employees presented awards to co-workers they felt deserved recognition for demonstrating strong commitment to service through their exemplary job performance, team work, personality, punctuality, flexibility and safety habits.

Earning the highest award, Roger Evans, was named Employee of the Year by his peers. Evans has worked as a mechanic in WFEC’s Sneads district office since 1995. His wife, Kathy, accepted the award on his behalf because he currently is serving in Iraq with the Florida Army National Guard’s 144th Transportation Company.

WFEC’s employees also chose Outstanding Service Award recipients from each of the Co-op’s three district offices. Elected were David Register, line crew leader, in the Graceville district; Hulon Taylor, line crew leader, in the Bonifay district; and Harold Dunham, journeyman line worker, in the Sneads district.
