Current Light Flashes

Glorified Fudge Cake

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 Tablespoons cocoa
1 cup cake flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chopped pecans
Marshmallows

Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs and cocoa and beat well. Add flour, vanilla, salt and nuts. Bake in greased pan in 325-degree oven about 45 minutes or until done. When done, cover with marshmallows and return to oven until marshmallows soften. Spread and let cool.

Chocolate Butter Frosting

1 cup confectioner’s sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoon cocoa
2 Tablespoons butter
2 Tablespoons hot cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Cream butter until soft, then blend in other ingredients and cover cake.
