Who Is Responsible for Fixing What?

Recent hurricanes have raised awareness of the utility “weather head” and the difficulty of determining who is responsible for repairing what in order to have electric service restored.

The graphics to the right, will help illustrate this concept. The areas highlighted with a black box and white text, are the responsibility of the homeowner. The areas highlighted with a white box and black text are the responsibility of WFEC, your electric utility. These graphics are intended to depict the responsibilities of homeowners only, as the configurations for commercial establishments are a little different.2734204

Customers who have experienced electrical damage in one or more of the areas highlighted in black should contact a licensed electrician to make the necessary repairs. Once repairs have been made, customers can contact WFEC to have electric service restored.
