Easy Turnip Root Casserole
3 cups turnip roots, cubed
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 (8-oz.) container sour cream
8 oz. cheddar cheese, shredded
1 sleeve Ritz crackers
1 stick butter
salt and pepper to taste
Boil turnip roots until tender. Mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, roots, salt and pepper. Spread roots mixture in 9" x 13" dish. Sprinkle cheese over mixture. Crumble Ritz crackers, mix with melted butter and sprinkle over cheese. Bake at 350 ° until brown, about 25 minutes.
